Posted on August 31, 2011 at 10:13 PM Comments comments (141)
Double Release Day!I was so excited to find out that eXtasy put up my Lost Shifer free read this morning. That means I have a double release day, because, Ash Swan my co-authored book with Amber Kell also came out today at Resplendence Publishing ! Since I know many of you have been looking forward to both of these, I've posted the blurbs and buy links below.

Hey, There's Fur in My Wedding Cake
The last thing Russell wants to do is go back to the  home that his childhood Wolf pack exiled him from. Yet, like it or not, that's where Russell's sorry ass is going. The fact that he's doing so in order to attend a wedding between his old Alpha and a feline shifter only make it more aggravating. Just when Russell least expects it, a most welcome diversion comes, via way a cute, sexy Lynx shifter named Dalton.

Cob Brothers Series, Book One

When Prince Landon Cob sees Brian Dawson, he's not sure what to make of the bicycle courier with a pierced nose and green streaks in his hair, but the man's gentleness in feeding the water fowl strikes a chord with him. In this story of Swan Prince meets Cinderfella, two men from different backgrounds have to find a way to counter magic and divergent lifestyles to find their happy ending.

I have some exciting news!

First off, I found the perfect picture of Noah for my trading cards. I'm getting them made up for GayRom, so if you're there, make sure to pick one up.
Secondly, I'm geeked to announce that I'll be starting a new series, called the The Night Wardens. The first book will come out this October and is going to be titled, Night Terrors. It will be a M/M, paranormal that's going to be edgy and dark. More details on that to come later.
Finally, in addition to the one free read that I already promised you, which will be available soon at eXtasy Books, I'll be posting some more free reads here on this blog. They're going to be titled, The Chronicles of Shane and will follow our favorite assassin's adventures.

Ranger's Folly is here!!

Posted on July 17, 2011 at 5:11 PM Comments comments (10)

Description
Exiled from his childhood pack and hated by his family, Wolf shifter, Ranger vowed that he'd always protect others from sharing his same heartbreak. He fulfilled his promise, first by taking in stray shifters and then later on becoming a soldier for a feline coalition. So when he finds a strange Eagle shifter stalking one of his friends, it's only natural that Ranger becomes protective. Especially when said Eagle is in the company of two Ravens--the most evil of all shifters.
Eagle shifter, Xavier lost everything dear to him when tragedy struck his family years ago. Taken in and raised in extreme seclusion by a family of Ravens, he's always felt as if a piece of himself was missing. When he finds that his twin is alive and living with feline shifters, Xavier can't resist his curiosity.
Fighting their mutual distrust, Xavier and Ranger also find themselves becoming drawn to each other. In a world that's not always so black and white, can they get beyond prejudices and the taboo, or will their love be lost to hate?

Excerpt
Emboldened, Ranger took the last few steps that separated them. Once he got in close enough, he reached out and flicked the bill of the hat up.

Startled green eyes blinked up at him as the kid’s face was finally revealed. And there was no question about it—this punk was a kid in almost every sense of the word. While he appeared to be in his early twenties, his gaze held an innocent, vulnerable quality to it.

Ranger leaned in, buried his nose in the crook of the kid’s neck and breathed in deep. What he found made his heart hammer in shock. He even took another sniff, just to make sure his nose hadn’t been fooling him.

“Well, fuck a duck. You’re an Eagle, just like Riley.”

For some reason that seemed to piss the kid off. He pulled back with a snarl. “I’m nothing like Riley.”

The familiarity in which that name rolled off the supposed stranger’s lips sparked Ranger’s curiosity further. He reached up and tore the hat all the way off, not too surprised when he found blond hair underneath.

Studying the kid’s face, Ranger did a quick inventory. While the eye coloring may be different, there were other things that were damningly similar to Riley—the slightly upturned nose, the high cheekbones, full lips, even the thin bone structure.

“You’re more than just an Eagle, you’re Xavier,” Ranger declared with certainty.

They’d only learned recently that Riley’s twin brother Xavier had survived a tragedy that’d killed off the rest of their family. They’d both been young at that time and completely defenseless. While Riley had been taken in and raised by a human female, the whereabouts of Xavier had remained a mystery.

Until now.

Xavier gave a jerky shake of his head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m just a nobody who happened to get lost in the woods and ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

“Okay then, tell me what your name is,” Ranger challenged, calling his bluff.

Xavier stiffened, his breath hitching slightly. After a moment’s reflection, he answered in a halting voice, “Bob?”

“You want to try that again? And this time, I suggest you don’t end it with a question mark.”

“What’s wrong with Bob? It’s a perfectly acceptable name.”

Ranger planted his hand on either side of Xavier’s head, trapping the Eagle in. “I never said there was anything wrong with that name, but we both know that it’s not what you’re called.”
A moment of silence stretched between them before Xavier slightly tilted his head to the side in a thoughtful manner. “I don’t think I’ll tell you my name. After all, you haven’t even bothered to introduce yourself, so why should I bother with niceties?”

“My name is Ranger.”

For some reason that brought out a soft laugh from Xavier.

“As in Yogi, the Ranger isn’t going to like that?” Xavier asked, doing a dead-on impersonation of Boo-Boo.

“You seem awfully cheerful for somebody who’s trapped.” Ranger leaned in until their noses were inches apart and growled.

Riley's Regret-Available Tomorrow at eXtasy Books!

Blurb:

Hawk shifter Colin has been mentoring Eagle shifter Riley for several months now. Because Eagle shifters are so rare, Riley is constantly in danger of being captured and forced into slavery, so Colin has his hands full with training Riley to be a halfway decent soldier, protecting the younger man from their enemies, and trying to fight the growing attraction they have for one another. Then Colin discovers a bigger threat to Riley, more dangerous than all the others. Riley can’t run away from this threat, either, since it comes from within him. Will Colin be able to save Riley from himself, or will the Eagle be lost to his own internal demons?

Excerpt:
“How long am I going to have to put up with having one of you by my side all the time?”

“For as long as it takes for this spell to pass over,” Noah answered in a soft voice.

Riley let out a sigh and damned if it didn’t hitch a bit. While part of him realized that the concern came from love, another part of him felt pissed. Why couldn’t they just leave him alone? Just because he lost his temper a couple of times didn’t mean he was going to lose his mind again. Riley had everything under control this time. He was stronger and older, so there was no reason for them to start acting like a bunch of grandmas.

“Fine, but I still say it’s a big waste of energy. I’m doing okay.”

“No offense, Riley, but sometimes you’re the worst judge of that.”

“Whatever.” Riley gave a faked indifferent shrug. “Can we just go home? If Papa Hawk notices I’m missing, he’s going to piss kittens.”

A strong hand came from behind and gripped Riley by the nape of the neck. “Too late, he’s already noticed.”

Noah paled, while Riley let out yelp. Even though he couldn’t see the speaker, he instantly recognized the voice as Colin. Oh gig, the shit is up.

Colin pulled Riley in closer so his back was nearly flush against the Hawk’s strong chest. Under any other situation, Riley would have been thrilled to find himself in that position. At that moment, however, fear filled him. Colin wasn’t just angry, the fury felt nearly palpable as it rolled from him.

“Tell me, Eagle, what is the number one rule that you’re supposed to follow?” Colin demanded.

“That if you eat out, it’s a good idea to only eat two thirds of your plate, because serving sizes are out of control?”

Noah let out a groan while the Colin’s grip tightened to the point of painful.

“You want to try that again?” Colin growled, his lips just inches from Riley’s ear.

“Always make sure to put the seats back down when using the cast bathrooms because the female Hawks get bitch-slap angry if you don’t?”

This time Noah hissed a low curse as he shook his head in disbelief. Not that Riley blamed him. He didn’t know why he was letting loose with such suicidal, idiotic statements either. Colin gave him a little shake and Riley let out a squawk that sounded much like his Eagle half.

A burning heat covered his cheeks as several humans cast amused and curious glances his way. Great, now he’d committed the most cardinal shifter sin of all, to never, ever, ever bring attention to their kind. Desperate to make amends, he flashed a huge smile and waved to the crowd.

“Don’t worry, folks. While he is going to take me home and spank me, I like it.”

The Lost Shifters-Print

I just realized that I forgot to announce on my blog that I had a print book released. D-oh! eXtasy took the first three Lost Shifter stories and put them together into one print book. Thanks to a titling snafu, it's listed as The Lost Shifters at Amazon, whereas it's call A Shifter Trio at Barnes & Noble.

The most exciting thing about this is that I will be signing copies at the Romantic Times Convention this year. Every cent of what I make from my portion of the sales at the event will be donated to the Detroit Area PFLAG chapter. I just can't say enough about this group. Not only have they always been there for my own family, but they have helped so many others. From the minute I walked into my first meeting they made me feel loved and at ease. I have met people there that I know will be a friend for life.  What's more they host one kick-ass of a holiday party! I've never seen Santa have more fun.

Riley

I’ve been getting a lot of emails and comments about the “Riley” scene in Shane’s Fury. Now I won’t get into a ton of details because I know that not everyone has read it yet. All I will say is—I hope you will trust me. There’s a very valid reason behind that scene that will become more apparent when Riley and Colin’s book comes out. The event is the setup for their relationship and the problems that will arise from Riley’s impulsive decision. I have never wrote sex for sex’s sake and I promise I’m not going down that path now. I will always and forever remain true to writing plot over heat.

I've been exchanging emails with the EIC of eXtasy Books and I'm excited to announce some updates and changes to my release schedule. You've probably noticed the shiny new cover for my next Lost Shifter book and wondered why I have it so soon. That's because Shane's Fury will be released a month early! So now it's coming out March 15th. I'll also be spacing the Drone Series out a bit since that series only has a few more books left in it. To fill the void I'll be writing books about some of the secondary characters from Blast From The Past and Out Of Balance. This new series will be call Friends to Lovers and the first book will be titled Bylines and Snapshots. In the meantime, I'll be working on the next book from the Archangel Series, but that book will likely be released at eXtasy's sister site, Divine Destinies. Have no fear, though, the stories will still be gritty and have the same twisted sense of humor in them. So here is my current release schedule:

March 1st-Between the Pipes-Blue Line Hockey Series
March 15th-Shane's Fury-Lost Shifter Series
April 1st-Three Alarm Fire-EMS Heat Series
April 15th-Bylines and Snapshots-Friends to Lovers Series
May 1st-Cup Check-Blue line Hockey Series
May 15th-Lost Shifter Book
June 1st-EMS Heat Book
June 15th-Vengeance Paid in Blood-Drone Vampire Series
July 1st-Blue Line Hockey Book
July 15th-Lost Shifter Book
August 1st-EMS Heat Book
August 15th-Friends to Lovers Series

P.S. I received an email titled "From a Reader"  and before I could respond to it, I blew it an lost the message. So if you sent me this email, please don't think I'm ignoring you. I treasure each and every email, letter and message I get from my readers.
