Raised in complete isolation—Raven shifter, Chance—knew little of the shifter world. While he realized that the Ravens were at war with feline shifters, he didn’t understand just how deep the hatred went until he took refuge with a coalition of felines—felines who sometimes seemed more likely to kill him than protect him from the Ravens hunting him. Living among his enemies, while being hated by his own kind, Chance withdraws into himself and begins to lose hope that he’ll ever be happy. To make things worse, Chance finds himself drawn to Thomas, a Lion shifter who despises all Ravens.
When Thomas is assigned to guard Chance, he’s not happy. His job is to kill Ravens, not babysit them. But as time passes, Thomas realizes he’s attracted to the shy, sweet man. But years of war against the Ravens, along with his own personal demons, lead Thomas to resist the draw he feels for Chance. Then Chance is taken captive and Thomas realizes how much his little Raven means to him. Will he find Chance in time, or will they both lose all hope of ever finding a happy ending?
He turned off the water and dried off, wrapping the thick, white towel around his waist. As he opened the curtain, he still felt a little bit self-conscious about his near nudity. Thomas may have said that Chance looked good, but it was still hard to be one hundred percent confident after so many others had thrown disparaging comments his way.
Thomas was leaning against the sink, looking sexy as hell. He wore the all black uniform of cargo pants and a long sleeved shirt, the fabric molding to the man’s hard body perfectly. His blond hair looked so soft and inviting that Chance’s fingers tingled with the need to caress it. Since he didn’t know if that kind of touch would be accepted, however, he just nervously toyed with the edge of his towel.
“Come here,” Thomas commanded with a crook of his finger.
Even before Chance’s brain could fully register the words, his feet were moving forward. He stopped about a foot away from Thomas. That didn’t satisfy the man though, he let out a sigh before he hooked his fingers in the top of the towel and pulled Chance closer.
Thomas didn’t say anything, he just stared down at Chance. The Lion’s eyes were so soft…so understanding…so caring, that Chance found himself wanting to pour his heart out.
“I hate that I was born a Raven,” he said, his voice a mere whisper. “Even as a kid, I wanted to be normal, instead of something that was despised by everybody.”
Thomas trailed the back of his knuckles against Chance’s jaw, his touch leaving behind a velvet heat. “But then you wouldn’t be my Chance.”
My Chance. Oh, what Chance would give for that to truly be the case. The knowledge that they’d never truly be a mated pair hurt ten times more than the wounds to his side, yet there was no denying the truth. Ravens and felines would never, could never fall in love.
Of course, Chance’s heart had other ideas. For at that moment, he realized just how important Thomas was to him. He also knew it would tear him to pieces when the Lion finally woke up and walked away forever.

From a very young age, Aldrich knew two things—he’d grow up to play professional hockey and he’d make his mentor fall in love with him. After years of hard work, both are within his grasp. Not only has a professional team called him up from his farm club, but the man he’s dreamed of for years has finally noticed him.
Then everything is brutally torn from him when he suffers a career-ending injury and finds himself dumped before the relationship has even really started. Depressed, he retreats to his childhood home where he runs into his former best friend and hockey buddy, Nobel. They rekindle their friendship and grow closer…in more ways than one. Aldrich is shocked to realize that not only has he been overlooking what could be the best thing in his life, but love may have always been right in his own backyard.
He ran his fingers over some of the scars left behind by the various procedures they’d performed to save his life. While he knew it’d been a necessary evil in order to relieve the pressure in his skull when his brain swelled, it still made him bitter.
“You look beautiful,” Nobel declared as he walked into the bathroom.
Aldrich jumped, shocked at the man’s appearance. “I didn’t hear you come in.”
Nobel stepped closer, his hands going up to caress Aldrich’s scalp. “I’ve always loved your hair.”
A shiver went through Aldrich as Nobel’s fingers ghosted over his head. “You have?”
“Yes, I’ve also always wondered what it would be like to touch it like I am now.”
“Was it everything you thought it would be?” Aldrich asked before biting back a moan. Who knew a simple touch could feel so good?
“No, it’s much better than I ever dreamed.”
“You’re just saying that to make me feel better. I know how horrible it looks right now.”
“You’ll always be perfect to me.”
Wow, it didn’t get any better than that. Aldrich tipped his head back so he could meet Nobel’s gaze. “I can’t believe I didn’t realize sooner.”
“That you were right in front of me, waiting for me to get my head out of my ass.”
Nobel trailed his fingers down the side of Aldrich’s cheek, his fingers leaving behind a heated path. “I just kept hoping that one day you’d eventually wake up and see that I was waiting for you to notice me.”
“In my defense, I wasn’t a total idiot. You just told me you were gay, so how could I know that you were attracted to me?”
“If you would have bothered to look you would have noted how I was constantly checking out your ass.”
“Hmm… so that’s why you always insisted on walking behind me.” Aldrich became brave and wrapped his arms around Nobel’s waist.
When Nobel didn’t pull back, but instead put his own arms around Aldrich’s shoulder, a heady thrill went through Aldrich. Emboldened, he moved in closer, until their bodies were pressed together. When he felt the hard press of Nobel’s cock against him, Aldrich grinned.
“Is that for me?” he asked.
Since Nobel was a few inches taller Aldrich had to tilt his head up some to keep eye contact. It made his neck crick a bit, but he didn’t mind if it meant being able to stare into Nobel’s dark gaze.
Nobel ran one hand down Aldrich’s back. “You know it is.”
Aldrich rocked forward, making sure Nobel could feel that he was hard as well. “That’s okay, you’re not the only one who is feeling…excited.”
A tremble went through Aldrich’s body as his arousal rose a couple notches. He tilted his head a bit farther back, praying to all that was holy and unholy that Nobel got the message.

In all the years they’ve know each other, trauma nurse Chauncey and paramedic Brody have only ever agreed on one thing: their mutual hatred for one another, which only seems to grow with each exchange they have. While they may have to work together, and share many mutual friends, they couldn’t be more different. Brody see Chauncey as nothing more than a bossy jerk, whereas Chauncey thinks Brody is a cocky brat who needs a good punch in the nose. What neither one of them is willing to admit is that they share a dirty little secret – a mutual attraction that burns almost as deep as their animosity.
One night they lose control and give in to their passion. When they wake up in each others’ arms, they have to face one of the biggest decisions of their lives: do they give love a chance, or are their differences just too big to overcome?
Brody tossed down his clipboard and stormed out of the room, fully aware that he’d left the last vestiges of his self-respect behind him. He rushed outside and over to his rig. Taking refuge in the space between the side of the ambulance and the wall of the bay, he finally stopped to catch his breath. Leaning his back against the rig, he fought to get himself under control.
How could he have been so stupid? After all the times Chauncey made it clear that he couldn’t stand him, Brody had still foolishly allowed himself to believe that there could be anything between them. Brody should have remembered that they were from two different worlds and that they’d never be able to mix.
Sure, it happened with Kiefer and his boyfriend, but that had been a onetime thing. An anomaly that would never happen again. In other words, a fairy tale that wasn’t going to be repeated. Especially for somebody like him.
He looked down at his scuffed work boots as he fought to get a grip on his emotions. Kiefer would be coming out to join him soon and the last thing Brody wanted was to have to deal with more questions.
“What in the hell was that all about?” Chauncey demanded as he rounded the ambulance.
Brody jumped in shock, then flushed as he realized that was the second time he’d done the scared kitten stunt in less than a half hour. Recovering, he shoved his hands in his pocket, then casually kicked at a pebble.
“I’d tell you, but then you’d probably go blab it all over Pontiac, you big, fat tattle tale.”
Chauncey stormed over, not stopping until they were inches apart and facing each other. That still didn’t seem to be enough for the nurse. He braced his hands on either side of Brody’s head and leaned in until their noses were almost touching.
“I didn’t say a word to Tanner,” Chauncey growled.
“Then why was he giving me the whole I-know-what-you’ve-been-doing look?”
“Because with the way you usually act, he thinks he does.”
Outraged, Brody tried to shove Chauncey away, only to find the nurse wouldn’t budge. Brody silently cursed fate for giving him such a scrawny build as he huffed in irritation.
“Are you calling me a slut?”
“You told me yourself that up until a few months ago that you were,” Chauncey pointed out.
“Are you going to use everything I said last night against me?”
After the way he’d opened himself up to Chauncey it would destroy him if the man turned on him that way. Brody had shared things with him that he’d never told another living soul.
Chauncey’s expression grew tender as he cupped Brody’s face.
“Babe, I would never do that to you.”
“Why should I believe you? I know you can’t stand me.”
“If I couldn’t stand you, I wouldn’t be out here now, trying to make you feel better. Do you honestly think I’d do that unless I cared for you?”
Brody shook his head. “I don’t know what to think.”
“Then don’t think.” Chauncey leaned down and lightly brushed their lips together. “Just feel.”

When his domineering brother drags him to a college party, Justice expects only to have yet another boring night out. So he’s both shocked and intrigued when he catches the eye of a cute, mysterious stranger named Ashton. Just as the men introduce themselves, Justice’s brother intervenes and drags them apart. It’s then that Justice learns the awful truth—Ashton’s father is a notorious criminal, and Justice’s own father is the District Attorney who has made it a personal goal to take down Ashton’s family.
While Ashton may have grown up around criminals, he’s nothing like them. Hardworking and compassionate, he’s done everything he can to prove he’s a good person. When he meets Justice, Ashton is instantly drawn to the soft-spoken man. Then Ashton realizes how Justice has a horrible home life and becomes determined to protect the other man, no matter the cost.
As the two men grow closer, they face hostilities from their own families. Will Justice and Ashton be able to find happiness together, or is their love destined to end in tragedy?
...Ashton moved in closer. Even over the stench of beer and too many bodies pressed together, Justice could detect the scent of sandalwood. Though it’d never appealed to him before, at that moment it sent a jolt of desire through his body.
“So, I take it you’re not a fan of the beer?” Ashton nodded to Justice’s cup.
“I much prefer a cold Mike’s Lemonade.”
“I’ll have to remember that.”
“So I know what to order for you on our first date.” Ashton flashed a playful look.
Justice laughed. He couldn’t believe such a hot guy was actually flirting with him. What’s more, he was flirting back. That had to be a first. Usually Justice stuck to the corners and rarely ventured out to socialize at all.
“You seem pretty certain that I’m going to agree to that plan,” Justice countered as he took a step forward.
His fingers itched to reach out and touch Ashton. Even a light caress would have sufficed. Just so long as he got to test how hard and warm the other man’s flesh felt. Justice clutched the cup tighter in his hand to resist from giving in to his urges.
“Does that mean you’re going to tell me ‘no’?” Ashton asked.
Justice shook his head. “If I could, I’d suggest that we bail from this party and take off now.”
“What’s holding you here?”
Justice felt himself blushing while he shrugged. “I kind of promised my brother that I’d stay for at least three hours.”
“Was that the blond you were talking to a few minutes ago?”
“Yeah, I know we don’t look much alike.”
“You’re right. You are way better looking than him.” Ashton reached up and lightly brushed one knuckle down Justice’s chest.
Justice sucked in a breath. Oh, my Lady Gaga! Once again, he thought he had to be dreaming or something because guys like Ashton didn’t flirt with mousy dorks like him. He looked down at the area of his chest that had just been blessed enough to be touched by Ashton. The skin still tingled from the caress.
“Funny, most people usually think it’s the other way around,” Justice confessed.
Ashton leaned in and whispered in Justice’s ear, “Surprise. I’m not most people.”
A shiver went down Justice’s spine and traveled to his cock. “No, you’re not.”
Justice set his cup of beer on a nearby table because he’d started to tremble so badly he worried he’d spill the stuff on him. The only thing worse than drinking the junk was reeking of it. Something he’d know from previous experience when Craig and his friends thought it would be fun to douse the “sissy boy.”
Still keeping his lips inches from Justice’s ear, Ashton asked, “So, if you won’t leave with me now, at least have some mercy on me and give me your phone number.”
Somehow Justice’s hands ended up on Ashton’s shoulders. His mind began to spin from all the emotions colliding inside him, the two biggest being arousal and shock. Arousal because—Hello!—Ashton was sex bundled up in a college T-shirt, and shock because Justice never moved this fast before. His dates were few and far between and never before had he touched, let alone kissed, until at least one or two weeks of knowing the other guy. Yet, as he found himself pressing his body closer to Ashton, Justice knew with a certainty that they’d be kissing within seconds. Justice closed his eyes and began to inch even closer.
“What in the fuck do you think you’re doing?” Craig snarled.
Before Justice could react, his brother grabbed him by the arm and jerked him away. Justice opened his eyes and gasped as he readied himself for yet another one of Craig’s verbal assaults. Instead, much to his surprise, Craig shoved Justice behind him before turning his fury onto Ashton.
“I don’t know what kind of game you think you’re playing, but keep my brother out of it,” Craig snapped, his face red with anger.
“Craig?” Justice wondered what in the hell was going on. It’s not like he already didn’t know that Justice was gay, so it couldn’t be the fact that he’d been getting up close and personal with another man. So, he had no idea what had pissed Craig off so much.
Ashton held his hands up in a peaceful gesture. “We were just talking.”
Craig snorted. “I’ll bet. It’s more likely that your dad sent you out to screw with our family because of our father.”
“I’m sorry, I still don’t understand,” Ashton replied calmly.
“You don’t think I wouldn’t recognize you as Carter Garner’s son?” Craig challenged.
Justice stomach dropped at the name. Carter Garner ran the biggest illegal drug ring in the state. The name was so sickeningly familiar because he heard it every night at the dinner table as his own father, a DA, railed about how he couldn’t wait to finally hang a conviction on the criminal...

Pectus Carinatum, which is better known as pigeon chest. The entire procedure is expected to take over three hours, and they anticipate that he'll be in the hospital for the following three to four days. Since I'm a very overprotective mother, I'm going to stay with him the entire time. Even though he's going to be eighteen next month, I just can't leave my baby overnight.
Because of all this, I've had to change around my release schedule a bit. While I will be taking my computer with me, I just don't know how much work I'll be able to get done. So, I won't be having an August 1st release with eXtasy. Don't despair, however, on the 15th the next EMS Heat book will be coming out. Plus, I have two other releases in August. Ash Swan, my joint release with Amber Kell is slated to come out around August 3rd-ish and on August 7th, Ashton and Justice is coming out at Amber Allure.
As soon as I can, I promise to post another update and let you all know how the surgery went. Hopefully the hospital has internet. Otherwise, I'll be lost without my daily blog fix.

Exiled from his childhood pack and hated by his family, Wolf shifter, Ranger vowed that he'd always protect others from sharing his same heartbreak. He fulfilled his promise, first by taking in stray shifters and then later on becoming a soldier for a feline coalition. So when he finds a strange Eagle shifter stalking one of his friends, it's only natural that Ranger becomes protective. Especially when said Eagle is in the company of two Ravens--the most evil of all shifters.
Eagle shifter, Xavier lost everything dear to him when tragedy struck his family years ago. Taken in and raised in extreme seclusion by a family of Ravens, he's always felt as if a piece of himself was missing. When he finds that his twin is alive and living with feline shifters, Xavier can't resist his curiosity.
Fighting their mutual distrust, Xavier and Ranger also find themselves becoming drawn to each other. In a world that's not always so black and white, can they get beyond prejudices and the taboo, or will their love be lost to hate?
Emboldened, Ranger took the last few steps that separated them. Once he got in close enough, he reached out and flicked the bill of the hat up.
Startled green eyes blinked up at him as the kid’s face was finally revealed. And there was no question about it—this punk was a kid in almost every sense of the word. While he appeared to be in his early twenties, his gaze held an innocent, vulnerable quality to it.
Ranger leaned in, buried his nose in the crook of the kid’s neck and breathed in deep. What he found made his heart hammer in shock. He even took another sniff, just to make sure his nose hadn’t been fooling him.
“Well, fuck a duck. You’re an Eagle, just like Riley.”
For some reason that seemed to piss the kid off. He pulled back with a snarl. “I’m nothing like Riley.”
The familiarity in which that name rolled off the supposed stranger’s lips sparked Ranger’s curiosity further. He reached up and tore the hat all the way off, not too surprised when he found blond hair underneath.
Studying the kid’s face, Ranger did a quick inventory. While the eye coloring may be different, there were other things that were damningly similar to Riley—the slightly upturned nose, the high cheekbones, full lips, even the thin bone structure.
“You’re more than just an Eagle, you’re Xavier,” Ranger declared with certainty.
They’d only learned recently that Riley’s twin brother Xavier had survived a tragedy that’d killed off the rest of their family. They’d both been young at that time and completely defenseless. While Riley had been taken in and raised by a human female, the whereabouts of Xavier had remained a mystery.
Xavier gave a jerky shake of his head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m just a nobody who happened to get lost in the woods and ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
“Okay then, tell me what your name is,” Ranger challenged, calling his bluff.
Xavier stiffened, his breath hitching slightly. After a moment’s reflection, he answered in a halting voice, “Bob?”
“You want to try that again? And this time, I suggest you don’t end it with a question mark.”
“What’s wrong with Bob? It’s a perfectly acceptable name.”
Ranger planted his hand on either side of Xavier’s head, trapping the Eagle in. “I never said there was anything wrong with that name, but we both know that it’s not what you’re called.”
A moment of silence stretched between them before Xavier slightly tilted his head to the side in a thoughtful manner. “I don’t think I’ll tell you my name. After all, you haven’t even bothered to introduce yourself, so why should I bother with niceties?”
“My name is Ranger.”
For some reason that brought out a soft laugh from Xavier.
“As in Yogi, the Ranger isn’t going to like that?” Xavier asked, doing a dead-on impersonation of Boo-Boo.
“You seem awfully cheerful for somebody who’s trapped.” Ranger leaned in until their noses were inches apart and growled.

All his life Jochen has had one dream and one dream only—to become a professional hockey player. Now after years of hard work, he’s close to his goal. Well…maybe a better term would be
since he’s playing for a minor league team and is barely making a livable wage. Still, he’s not complaining since he feels like it will only be a matter of time before he’s called up to the NHL. He just needs to make sure that he doesn’t allow any distractions to get into his way.
Then a huge distraction plows into his life when Jochen volunteers to help at a summer youth clinic. There he meets Rebel, a very sexy, cute and tempting goalie. The problem is both of them are deep in the closet. They both fear that coming out could hurt their careers. Besides, all they’re doing is having a little fun on the side and they don’t feel like it’s anybody’s business. Then just as they least expect it, their secret comes out in the most explosive way possible, forcing Jochen to admit just how much Rebel means to him. Will their love be able to survive the fallout, or will they lose everything they ever wanted?
“Have they ever hurt you?”
Rebel shrugged. “Just some of your everyday locker room hazing. No biggie.”
Going by the tense way Rebel held himself, it actually was a really big deal. A wave of protectiveness rushed over Jochen and he felt the sudden urge to punch out the entire Cougar roster. Minus Rebel, of course.
“There’s a difference between harassment and some fun ribbing,” Jochen pointed out.
Rebel let out a sigh. “It’s not that bad. Certainly not anything even close to what they used to do to Sergei.”
“What they did to him was criminal, so I would hardly consider that the bar you should use for comparison.”
For a second he thought Rebel would argue that one, in the end the goalie set down his drink and rocked on his feet for a few moments before continuing on in a calm tone.
“I knew before I even went there it would be hard. I’m small, blond and shy. All of the things guys like that hate. My own brothers used to tease me about the way I am.”
“Let me guess, you were the youngest?”
“Yeah, I have three older brothers. While they’re usually pretty overprotective of me, at times they could be jerks, too.”
“But nothing like the Cougars.” It came out as a statement rather than a question, because Jochen felt pretty certain that Rebel’s brothers could never be that cruel. Or at least he hoped not. He couldn’t imagine having to grow up in an environment that hostile.
“No, my brothers could never be like that. In fact, if they knew how the Cougars were treating me, they’d…” Rebel bit his bottom lip and gave a slight shake of his head.
“They’d be pissed and want to do something about it?” Jochen finished for him.
Rebel didn’t reply. He just averted his gaze as he continued to gnaw on his bottom lip. He worked the piece of flesh so hard, Jochen worried he’d make the thing bleed. Even though he knew it wasn’t the wisest thing to do, Jochen reached out and gently used his thumb to nudge Rebel’s chin down.
It worked. Rebel parted his mouth, his lower lip springing free. Jochen’s breath caught as he found himself mesmerized by the temptation so close to him. All he’d have to do is lower his head a few inches and he could find out if Rebel tasted as good as he looked.
The craziest part of the whole thing was that Rebel didn’t appear to have any intentions of pulling back. If anything, he seemed to be swaying in a bit. As if he wanted the contact just as badly as Jochen did.
“Yeah, they wouldn’t want me to go through all that,” Rebel whispered.
Jochen frowned in confusion. The past few moments of lust having made his brain mush.
“My brothers. They wouldn’t want me miserable.”
It wasn’t lost on Jochen that he hadn’t moved his fingers. They were still cupping Rebel’s chin. It felt damn good, too. The heat of the man’s flesh called to Jochen, almost as if begging for him to slowly explore every decadent inch of Rebel’s body.
The one sane brain cell left in his head screamed at Jochen to pull away, that this was no way to guard his secret and that if he didn’t knock it off, Rebel would probably get pissed. Hell, the guy could strike out at any moment.
Yet, Rebel did none of those things. No, he did the last thing Jochen was prepared for. With a soft groan, Rebel ran his tongue over his lips. As if he was preparing them for some really good action.
