Vengeance Paid With Blood-Available now at eXtasy Books!

Even though the Drones have struck a staggering blow against the Pure Born government, the war is far from over.  Now on the defensive against more attacks from their enemies, it’s never been more dangerous to be a Drone or one of their allies. However, Toby and his warlock mate, Blaine, have no choice but to leave the safety of their clan and venture out into this hostile world. If they are to be truly happy together, they must get rid of the evil warlock who not only threatens their happiness, but their lives. So they set out to find and destroy this menace before it can come to them.

As they hit the road, they run into additional danger and forge alliances in the most unlikely of places. Time is running out, though and they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives. Will Blaine and Toby be able to eliminate this darkness that is endangering them or will they be doomed to fail?

Excerpt

It took nearly that entire hour to make the short drive to the hotel and check in. Toby and Blaine took one room, while poor Kale got saddled with Ian as a roommate. Kale didn't voice any complaints, but he did shoot off a you-owe-me glare as he took the room key.

Once that was settled, Blaine ushered Toby inside and quickly pulled all the drapes closed. He then put the Do Not Disturb sign up to ensure the maid didn't barge in. Toby dumped his bag on the bed and let out a loud yawn.

"Damn, I'm beat and we just got started," Toby said.

"Are you hungry? I could run out real quick and pick something up," Blaine offered.

Toby yawned again as he shook his head. "Nah, I can wait until we get up."

Trying to keep his voice as casual as possible, Blaine asked, "How about a shower then?"

A sexy smile spread over Toby's lips. "That sounds like fun. Are you going to come in and help me get those hard to reach spots?"

Blaine chuckled as his cock began to stir with interest. "I think I can force myself to perform that unpleasant chore."

Toby kicked off his tennis shoes. "Ha! You better. Do you remember the first time we showered together?"

Blaine toed off his own shoes, a small burn of embarrassment covered his cheeks as he recalled that not-so-proud moment of his past. "Yeah, it was right after I got pinned down by that skunk ape.

It wasn't that long ago that it happened."

"Tell me about it. I swear that stench is still burned into my nostrils. I don't think I've ever run into something that stinky and I used to live in a farming community."

Toby slid off his tee, revealing his perfect upper body. His washboard abs just screamed to be touched, nibbled and licked, but Blaine held back, wanting to get into the shower as quickly as possible. He took off his shirt, too, tossing it to the side before reaching for the fly of his pants.

"Goddess, I wanted to fuck you so bad when we were in that shower," Blaine confessed as he took off his jeans and underwear.

"Since we were in the infirmary and there were several witnesses that would have been a bit awkward."

Blaine groaned as Toby lost the rest of his clothes. Now completely nude, Toby reached down and stroked his own erection a few times, a small gasp coming from his parted lips. Blaine's own dick felt so hard it bordered on painful. He still didn't move to give himself any relief, too caught up in the show Toby was giving.

"There's something I've been wanting to do all day," Toby said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"What's that?" Blaine asked, his gaze still locked on Toby's hand, which continued to slowly move up and down.

By way of answer, Toby let go of his cock, walked over and dropped to his knees in front of Blaine. Looking up from under his thick lashes, Toby said, "I've been dreaming of doing this to you since we left headquarters."

Blaine nodded his consent, earning a pleased smile from Toby. He then lowered his gaze and began to concentrate on the task at hand.

All paramedics know how dangerous their job can be. Kiefer just never expected to experience that truth so early in his career when he lost his cousin and job partner to a tragic accident. Now floundering in both life and his role as a paramedic, Kiefer is in jeopardy of losing everything he worked so hard for. In all his years as a Pontiac City Fireman, Ray’s seen a lot of hurt. Nothing affected him more than the day he found Kiefer, emotionally shattered and near catatonic. Ever since then, Ray hasn’t been able to get the paramedic out of his mind. When he finds out that Kiefer is making a cross-country trip to return some items to his deceased cousin’s mother, Ray jumps at the chance to go along.  What Ray doesn’t expect is to fall for the medic. Will he be able to help Kiefer heal enough to give them a chance or will Ray suffer his own heartbreak?

Excerpt

Kiefer looked sad again.

As soon as Ray walked out of the smoke-filled house, his gaze had begun to search for the thin paramedic. Ray had heard the call from dispatch, saying they were sending a rig to check out the inhabitants of the home. He’d also heard the number of said ambulance…625.
For the past five months, those three numbers had been burned into

Ray’s brain. Not because he had a special affinity for that particular rig, or because he’d decided they were his new Powerball lottery combination either. No, it all had to do with one certain medic assigned to that ambulance.

Kiefer.

Ray’s gaze finally found and locked in on the medic. Even under the crappy illumination of the flashing sirens and weak streetlamps, Kiefer looked perfect. So much so that Ray’s breath hitched a bit.

Kiefer stood at the back of his rig. The doors were open and a small girl sat on the edge, her bare feet dangling in the air. Her tear-streaked face turned up into the medic’s direction as a tiny smile covered her face.

The medic wore a heavy, blue raincoat over his usual dark navy uniform. Even though the rain no longer fell in a heavy torrent, drops of water still clung to Kiefer’s dark hair. He’d allowed the front to grow a bit longer so a lock fell over his deep, blue eyes. Although a smile graced his young face, it never reached his troubled gaze. Not that Ray expected it, not after everything that’d happened to the guy.

One minute. That’s how long it’d taken for Kiefer’s life to become forever changed. Sixty seconds of terror and the man’s life had gone into the crapper. The worst part is, while Ray wanted to help the kid out, he’d quickly found out there was squat he could do.

After he took off some of his heavier equipment, Ray grabbed a teddy bear from his fire truck and made his way over to the ambulance. With each step closer he took to Kiefer, Ray’s heart pounded a bit harder and his stomach clenched nervously.

Damn, he really needed to get a grip. Kiefer never looked at him as anything other than a friend and here Ray was nearly tripping over himself—all from the prospect of being able to have Kiefer’s attention, if just for a moment. It was crazy because even if Kiefer showed a spark of interest, the kid wasn’t emotionally ready to start any kind of relationship.

Try telling that to Ray’s heart though, because it’d long ago given itself up to Kiefer.

Blurb:

Hawk shifter Colin has been mentoring Eagle shifter Riley for several months now. Because Eagle shifters are so rare, Riley is constantly in danger of being captured and forced into slavery, so Colin has his hands full with training Riley to be a halfway decent soldier, protecting the younger man from their enemies, and trying to fight the growing attraction they have for one another. Then Colin discovers a bigger threat to Riley, more dangerous than all the others. Riley can’t run away from this threat, either, since it comes from within him. Will Colin be able to save Riley from himself, or will the Eagle be lost to his own internal demons?

Excerpt:
“How long am I going to have to put up with having one of you by my side all the time?”

“For as long as it takes for this spell to pass over,” Noah answered in a soft voice.

Riley let out a sigh and damned if it didn’t hitch a bit. While part of him realized that the concern came from love, another part of him felt pissed. Why couldn’t they just leave him alone? Just because he lost his temper a couple of times didn’t mean he was going to lose his mind again. Riley had everything under control this time. He was stronger and older, so there was no reason for them to start acting like a bunch of grandmas.

“Fine, but I still say it’s a big waste of energy. I’m doing okay.”

“No offense, Riley, but sometimes you’re the worst judge of that.”

“Whatever.” Riley gave a faked indifferent shrug. “Can we just go home? If Papa Hawk notices I’m missing, he’s going to piss kittens.”

A strong hand came from behind and gripped Riley by the nape of the neck. “Too late, he’s already noticed.”

Noah paled, while Riley let out yelp. Even though he couldn’t see the speaker, he instantly recognized the voice as Colin. Oh gig, the shit is up.

Colin pulled Riley in closer so his back was nearly flush against the Hawk’s strong chest. Under any other situation, Riley would have been thrilled to find himself in that position. At that moment, however, fear filled him. Colin wasn’t just angry, the fury felt nearly palpable as it rolled from him.

“Tell me, Eagle, what is the number one rule that you’re supposed to follow?” Colin demanded.

“That if you eat out, it’s a good idea to only eat two thirds of your plate, because serving sizes are out of control?”

Noah let out a groan while the Colin’s grip tightened to the point of painful.

“You want to try that again?” Colin growled, his lips just inches from Riley’s ear.

“Always make sure to put the seats back down when using the cast bathrooms because the female Hawks get bitch-slap angry if you don’t?”

This time Noah hissed a low curse as he shook his head in disbelief. Not that Riley blamed him. He didn’t know why he was letting loose with such suicidal, idiotic statements either. Colin gave him a little shake and Riley let out a squawk that sounded much like his Eagle half.

A burning heat covered his cheeks as several humans cast amused and curious glances his way. Great, now he’d committed the most cardinal shifter sin of all, to never, ever, ever bring attention to their kind. Desperate to make amends, he flashed a huge smile and waved to the crowd.

“Don’t worry, folks. While he is going to take me home and spank me, I like it.”

After years of hard work and sacrifice, Kip Cooper’s dream of playing for the NHL is finally within reach. Soon he’ll be able to leave behind his farm team to taste fame, fortune and the respect that comes with being number one. So he’s not about to allow anyone or anything get in the way. But try telling that to his libido, because despite everything, he can’t keep his mind off his teammate, Sergei. Too bad  Sergei is young and openly gay… and Kip isn’t. When a chance encounter leads to a night of passion, Kip realizes he has to make a choice: Sergei or his dreams.
Excerpt
They got off the bus and went with the rest of the team to gather their bags while the team manager went inside to grab the room keys. Devon came over to stand by Sergei and Trey. Whereas Trey had blond hair and an easy smile, Devon tended to be more serious and had dark hair.

“I don’t know what kind of game you two are playing, but it pissed Kip off something awful,” Devon said.

Sergei almost snorted in derision until he remembered Trey’s words. Maybe he really should give Kip a break and stop pressuring him so much to go public. After all, who was he to judge how others handled their lives when his own family’s relationship was the definition of dysfunctional?

“Who are you going to room with?” Devon asked Sergei.

“Oh, shoot! I forgot, now that Chad’s gone, I’m going to have to look for a new roommate,” Sergei exclaimed.

“No, you don’t. You’re rooming with me,” Kip announced as he came up and waved a key.

He didn’t look any less angry than he had during the bus ride. Just a week ago, Sergei would have jumped at the chance to be able to sleep in the same room as Kip. Now he didn’t feel so sure. He nervously gnawed on his bottom lip. “I am?”

“You are,” Kip replied in a firm tone that warned against argument.

“What will Mike do? Don’t you guys usually bunk together?”

“Not anymore. Now come on.”

When Sergei just stood there in stunned disbelief, Kip let out an irritated sound and grabbed Sergei by the front of the shirt. He then proceeded to pull Sergei through the doors leading into the hotel.

Sergei let out a surprised yelp as he struggled to keep up while still managing to hold onto his heavy hockey bag. The entire time, Kip didn’t glance back once, not even when Sergei stumbled a couple of times. Sergei had the distinct feeling that if he did fall, Kip would just drag him facedown the rest of the way to their room.

“I can walk on my own,” Sergei protested.

He may as well have been talking to the walls for all the reaction he got out of Kip. The captain didn’t stop until they reached their room. Kip silently opened the door and all but threw Sergei inside.
Sergei’s bag slid to the floor as he turned to face Kip. After slamming the door shut, Kip started to advance, his blue eyes sharp with anger. Sergei’s heart hammered with anticipation and arousal.

He tried to take a step back, only to trip when his feet hit the bag. At the last second, Kip saved him by reaching out and once more grabbing the front of Sergei’s shirt. He pulled hard, causing Sergei to slam into his hard chest.

All the air left Sergei’s lungs in a whoosh as he felt himself pressed against Kip’s body. While the anger in Kip’s gaze still concerned Sergei, he couldn’t help but notice something else—a certain detail that had his pulse racing with excitement.

“Why, Kip, is that a hockey stick in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?”

Snapshots and Bylines

Hey, Gang! I'm trying to do updates to my website, but am running into some major technical glitches. Hopefully I can get them fixed soon, but until then I'll post the information about my new release here. I I went to RT last week and have a ton of news to share about that, too. I'll write all about that in another post.

Best friends in high school, Marc and Sammy each harbored a secret attraction for the each other, but neither dared act on their feelings for fear of ruining their friendship. Finally one night during the summer after their senior year, they gave into their desires and had a passionate encounter. Well…as passionate as one can get when one of them had a dog bite, the other an allergic reaction to strawberries and both had a bad case of poison ivy. But just as they get together, Marc and Sammy were torn apart when life and family obligations interfere.

It’s been ten years and Sammy never got over losing Marc. Even though he has a successful career as a social worker at the local GLBT youth center, Sammy has always felt as if a piece of himself is missing. Then one day when he least expects it, Marc shows up at the center, wanting to film a documentary. Sammy is shocked and hurt that Marc has stayed away so long only to turn up when he needs something.

What Sammy doesn’t know is Marc had a good reason for staying away. One that could not only destroy their lives, but the love they once had for each other and any choice of a future together.

Excerpt
Marc became vividly aware of Sammy’s touch. His thumb brushed slightly against the nape of Marc’s neck. Marc shivered, the caress going straight to his cock. He sucked in a breath as he found himself locked in the smaller man’s gaze.

“I have a confession to make,” Sammy said, his thumb continuing to make lazy circles.

“What’s that?”

Marc’s heart pounded in his chest. He had a feeling something big was about to go down, something that would change them and their friendship forever. While part of him feared it messing up their current relationship, a bigger part of himself was powerless to stop it.

“I lied when I said that Drake couldn’t come camping with us today. I never even asked him.”

“Really?” Marc asked, his breath hitching.

There’d always been an underlying attraction between Marc and Sammy, but before this moment, they’d never acknowledged it. Fear, with a heavy dose of excitement soared through Marc as he realized the moment had finally arrived.
Now he’d know for sure what Sammy thought of him.

“Yeah, I wanted to have you all to myself.”

Sammy stepped in tighter, his body sliding in between Marc’s legs. They stood just inches apart. Their faces so close together that Marc could feel the fluttering of Sammy’s exhalations brushing against his cheek.

“I have a confession to make, too,” Marc said, his stomach balling up in anticipation.

“You do?” Sammy asked with a crooked grin.

“Yeah, I did the same thing with David. I never asked him either.”

“Was it for the same reason as me?”

They each began to inch forward just a bit, but it was almost as if they were both afraid to make that final move, the one that would lead to them kissing. Marc did reach out and wrap his arms around Sammy’s neck. He even allowed one hand to drift up a bit so he could finger Sammy’s hair. A jolt went through Marc when he found it to be as soft as he always imagined it would be.

“Yes, I’ve wanted to have you to myself for a while. I was just waiting until I turned eighteen,” Marc said, talking so fast that some of the words jumbled together.

“Why would you think that would matter?”

Marc shrugged as much as their current body position would allow. “I didn’t know for sure if you would want me until I was technically an adult like you.”

“Sometimes you worry about the funniest things.”

Sammy softened his comment by running the thumb of his free hand over Marc’s bottom lip. The move came off as both sexy and exploratory at the same time. Almost as if Sammy had just been waiting for the chance to touch Marc.

“I have one last confession to make,” Sammy said, his voice trembling a bit.

“What?”

Sammy leaned in so his lips were only inches from Marc’s ear. “I want you to fuck me tonight.”

The Lost Shifters-Print

I just realized that I forgot to announce on my blog that I had a print book released. D-oh! eXtasy took the first three Lost Shifter stories and put them together into one print book. Thanks to a titling snafu, it's listed as The Lost Shifters at Amazon, whereas it's call A Shifter Trio at Barnes & Noble.

The most exciting thing about this is that I will be signing copies at the Romantic Times Convention this year. Every cent of what I make from my portion of the sales at the event will be donated to the Detroit Area PFLAG chapter. I just can't say enough about this group. Not only have they always been there for my own family, but they have helped so many others. From the minute I walked into my first meeting they made me feel loved and at ease. I have met people there that I know will be a friend for life.  What's more they host one kick-ass of a holiday party! I've never seen Santa have more fun.

I’ve been getting a lot of emails and comments about the “Riley” scene in Shane’s Fury. Now I won’t get into a ton of details because I know that not everyone has read it yet. All I will say is—I hope you will trust me. There’s a very valid reason behind that scene that will become more apparent when Riley and Colin’s book comes out. The event is the setup for their relationship and the problems that will arise from Riley’s impulsive decision. I have never wrote sex for sex’s sake and I promise I’m not going down that path now. I will always and forever remain true to writing plot over heat.

News!

I've been exchanging emails with the EIC of eXtasy Books and I'm excited to announce some updates and changes to my release schedule. You've probably noticed the shiny new cover for my next Lost Shifter book and wondered why I have it so soon. That's because Shane's Fury will be released a month early! So now it's coming out March 15th. I'll also be spacing the Drone Series out a bit since that series only has a few more books left in it. To fill the void I'll be writing books about some of the secondary characters from Blast From The Past and Out Of Balance. This new series will be call Friends to Lovers and the first book will be titled Bylines and Snapshots. In the meantime, I'll be working on the next book from the Archangel Series, but that book will likely be released at eXtasy's sister site, Divine Destinies. Have no fear, though, the stories will still be gritty and have the same twisted sense of humor in them. So here is my current release schedule:

March 1st-Between the Pipes-Blue Line Hockey Series
March 15th-Shane's Fury-Lost Shifter Series
April 1st-Three Alarm Fire-EMS Heat Series
April 15th-Bylines and Snapshots-Friends to Lovers Series
May 1st-Cup Check-Blue line Hockey Series
May 15th-Lost Shifter Book
June 1st-EMS Heat Book
June 15th-Vengeance Paid in Blood-Drone Vampire Series
July 1st-Blue Line Hockey Book
July 15th-Lost Shifter Book
August 1st-EMS Heat Book
August 15th-Friends to Lovers Series

P.S. I received an email titled "From a Reader"  and before I could respond to it, I blew it an lost the message. So if you sent me this email, please don't think I'm ignoring you. I treasure each and every email, letter and message I get from my readers.
